TITLE

CHIROPRACTOR SALARY

A Chiropractor Salary is calculated by the US Government Bureau of Labor Statistics from a variety of sources. Chiropractors work in a number of settings including hospitals, clinics and schools.  The salaries of Chiropractors varies depending on the location and the setting.  The assumption was made that the chiropractors reflected here were working an average of 40 hours per week with a total of 2080 hours per year.

HOURLY

Chiropractors median salary is $32.66 per hour. The lowest 10% earn $16.37 per hour and those in the upper 10% earn more than $70.00 per hour.

ANNUALLY

On an annual basis  the median chiropractor salary is $67,940.  The lowest 10% earn $34,060 per year while the upper 10% earn more than $145,000 per year.  These salaries are calculated as a mean or average.

Private Practice Vs Employment

Chiropractors in private practice earned a median salary of approximately $105,000 to $109,000 per year based on a 2003 survey conducted in the Northeast United States. This means that approximately half of the chiropractors surveyed earned less than $105,000 per year and that approximately half of the chiropractors had a salary of more than $109,000.

The annual mean salary is $86,860.  A small number of chiropractors earn a salary by being employed in chiropractic colleges and universities and earn an annual mean salary of $68,790.
